Our Orchard Campsite provides an authentic camping experience with a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
Situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, five minutes by car from Talgarth and only ten minutes by car from Hay on Wye, our orchard campsite provides an authentic camping experience with a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
The outdoor food preparation facilities and pizza oven makes cooking a real pleasure and is a small sociable hub, with phone and electrical charging points.

The orchard campsite is a magical place with plenty of space so our visitors may choose where they want to pitch. There are fire pits for our campers to use and we sell seasoned firewood at £7 per bag. Kindling can be gathered from the woodland.

Zero Waste Policy
We are pleased to be a Zero Waste campsite.
This means that campers at Lower Porthamel should aim to keep waste to a minimum as they have to leave the campsite with what they bring, including food waste, bottles and rubbish of all types. With the exception of nappies and sanitary products, which we cater for.
Zero Waste camping is a great way to cut down on single use plastic consumption and other landfill waste by purchasing alternative, recyclable products for your camping trip.
